# Sarawak Locum Connect

> Sarawak Locum Connect is a venture of Cajal Bodies' own founder, coordinating locum healthcare staffing in Sarawak, for which Cajal Bodies wrote the strategy, the product specification and the demo.

## Overview

Rural clinics in Sarawak are short of doctors, and the arrangements that cover the gaps are made by hand, in group chats, one shift at a time. Sarawak Locum Connect is being built to coordinate that properly: clinics and hospitals posting the shifts they need covered, and qualified locum professionals finding and claiming them.

Cajal Bodies' part is the thinking and the specification rather than a finished platform. The strategy documents, the product specification and a working demo exist. The platform does not, yet.

It is designed for the conditions rather than for a demo: it has to work where the connection drops, which means the core of it cannot assume a browser and a good signal.
