Tankii

Cajal Bodies built Tankii, a shared tank ledger and Telegram bot that two dive operators in Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi use to draft and confirm orders in their group chat.

Ten dive cylinders on a night jetty, one shared tally line running above them between two boats
  • The one-page guide to how the Tankii group works, in English and Bahasa
How the group works: the four-step guide the operators got
  • The September 2026 tank count statement for both operators
The monthly count: one statement both sides sign off

Two dive operators in Bira move cylinders between them, and the running count used to be an argument at the end of the month. Tankii records every order and delivery once, so both sides read the same number.

Orders are drafted and confirmed in the Telegram group the two operators already use. Nobody has to open a second app on a boat: the bot writes the draft, a person confirms it, and the ledger moves.

The tool lives behind their login, so there is nothing to show here. It has been in real use since September 2026, and a bot that cannot draft an order the group is unable to confirm is a fix that came out of that use.

What we made

  • A shared tank ledger for two operators
  • A Telegram bot that drafts and confirms orders in the group chat
  • An order and delivery record both sides can read

Questions people ask

Can I see Tankii?

No. Tankii runs behind the login of the two dive operators who use it, and their counts are their own business.

What does Tankii do?

It keeps one shared tank ledger for two dive operators in Bira and lets them draft and confirm orders from the Telegram group they already use.

Build it, then run it

Cajal Bodies works four ways: run it, build it, draw it or make it, and most published work started with something built. If nothing is running yet, that starts with Build it; once it is, the monthly work keeps it watched.
